Airships are kind to the environment and are advantageous
in time of disaster or regional promotion

|
| - Ecological airship contributes to elimination of exhaust gases |
| The 21st century can be called the century of the environment. Airships use the buoyancy provided by helium, a gas existing in the natural world. This practical means of flight can reduce emission of CO2 and other exhaust gases and the technology developed for airships is highly regarded as symbolic of this century. Airships are finding expanded fields of application as a means of flight that protects the environment and the ecology-conscious image can be shared with clients. |
|
| - Reduces effects on the ground, such as noise pollution |
| Compared to jets, helicopters and other means of flight, airships generate very little noise that reaches the ground. As downwash is also small, there is characteristically only minimal effect on the ground. |
|
| - Functional as preparation for large-scale disaster |
| Airships feature the possibility of long-term (maximum 24 hours performance) flight, low-speed flight and large cargo load space compared with small airplanes. When a major disaster occurs, in accordance with requests from local governments on the ground or from NHK or other news media, we dispatch the airship for rescue and other disaster relief support activities or to survey the disaster conditions from the air, contributing to disaster relief efforts jointly with the clients. |
|
| - Creation of airship network using regional airports |
| We at Nippon Airship Corporation are promoting the concept of an airship town network that contributes to local promotion but also harmonizes with the environment and coexists with nature. The large number of regional airports and other facilities could be used for support in case of major disaster as well as for advertising, surveys and observations and other public flight operations. In addition, our airship will play a major role in sightseeing, commuter flights and other tourism promotion fields for local community activation. |
